A - Standard wallpaper border rolls are 5 metres long (16 feet).

Our collections also include a selection of patterns that are double the length at 10 metres long (33 feet) along with a number of rolls that are shorter than standard at 4.57 metres long (15 feet).

Please check the dimensions on each individual product page to confirm the roll length of your chosen pattern, these will show as 457L, 500L or 1000L CM.

Q - Can I use wallpaper paste to stick my wallpaper border?

A - Wallpaper paste will not securely adhere a border to any vinyl surface, it will simply curl at the edges as it dries and fall down

This being vinyl wallpaper (spongeable, washable or super washable wallpaper) or any vinyl emulsion painted walls (such as vinyl matt, vinyl silk or vinyl soft sheen).

A border and overlap adhesive is required to permanently adhere a wallpaper border to a wall, it is a vinyl-to-vinyl adhesive and can be found here.

Q - What type of adhesive should I use to stick my borders?

A - It is recommended that you use border and overlap adhesive to stick wallpaper borders to painted walls, wallpapered walls and other surfaces including, doors & covings etc.

Border and overlap adhesive comes ready made as a white gel, this is applied to the reverse of your wallpaper border, allowed to soak in and then offered to the wall or surface. All excess adhesive should be removed with a clean, damp cloth or sponge. Any small remaining traces will dry clear.

This vinyl-to-vinyl adhesive can be found here in our Hanging Essentials selection.

Q - How do I hang a wallpaper border?

A - Apply border adhesive to the reverse of your wallpaper border using a brush, fold the border adhesive side to adhesive side and allow to soak as per the manufacturer's instructions.

Apply your wallpaper border to your wall and smooth flat with a paperhanging brush, remove any excess adhesive immediately with a clean damp cloth, and check the position is level before moving on to the next wall.

Q - Are wallpaper borders available that are self-adhesive?

A - Yes, we offer a small range of self-adhesive borders here at I Love Borders.

Our collection of self-adhesive and sticky back wallpaper borders can be found by clicking here.

Q - Can you reposition self adhesive borders?

A - No, once these borders make initial contact with your wall they will stick.

Should you attempt to peel back you will reduce the adhesion qualities and may damage the decorated surface you are hanging on.

Best practice would be to draw a faint level pencil or chalk line on your wall, using a spirit level or laser line as your guidance.
